After fashion and design, Milan celebrates wine, another of the excellences of Made in Italy with the event Milan Wine Week 2021, on stage from 2 to 10 October. An event that represents an important moment of meeting at an international level for companies in the sector to do business and push the relaunch of the system. Milano Wine Week 2021 is also a laboratory of ideas and projects characterized by an innovative and transversal approach, in which technology plays a leading role in sharing content, with Adnkronos as the event’s media partner.
The kermesse, now in its fourth edition, which has a total of about 300 events including institutional meetings, conferences and tastings open to the public, involves hundreds of companies and producers, protagonists of the world of oenology and catering with the common goal of enhancing the heritage Italian wine. Among the novelties of Milan Wine Week 2021, a digital infrastructure designed specifically for the event, which breaks down space-time boundaries, creating a global wine community. From the historic site of the Palazzo Bovara event, in the heart of Milan, a network of real and virtual itineraries unfolds to discover the made in Italy wine excellences, also through 10 different Wine Districts, city districts combined with as many wine consortia.
Kicking off with an inaugural and supportive toast
In the rich program of meetings of the week dedicated to wine, it starts on Saturday 2 October at 6 pm at Palazzo Bovara and simultaneously on 4 famous Milanese rooftops, with the inaugural toast of the Hippo program in support of the Humanitas Foundation for research, organized in collaboration with Trento Doc. The inaugural event, which will be broadcast live on the Adnkronos website, aims to raise funds for the HiPPo project, a program dedicated to researchers aimed at attracting talented young scientific researchers to Italy.
Preview events Sunday 3 October Milan Wine Week supports the wine sector also with Wine Business City, an event dedicated to sector operators, scheduled for 3 and 4 October at the MegaWatt Court in Milan. Two days of staged business events in a large and functional 9,000 square meter location a quarter of an hour from the city center. A sort of event within the event with 250 stands dedicated to wineries, business lounges for business meetings and thematic areas dedicated to emerging trends in the sector. The Carta Vini Italia and Selezione Retail awards are also held within the Wine Business City, two awards reserved for the starred catering and fine dining sector the first, the second wine shops, wine shops and supermarkets.
