It is the Sardinian Andrea Pala the best young winemaker in Italy. The prize will be awarded tomorrow, Saturday 2 October, on the occasion of the Vinoway Wine Selection 2022, which will take place at The Nicolaus Hotel in Bari, organized by the Vinoway Italia Cultural and Promotion Association.
Graduated in Viticulture and Oenology, he is the president of the Young Italian Oenologists. He works in several Italian wineries, giving prestige to the territory of his Sardinia. He will be awarded by Nicola Biasi, considered “Best Young Italian Enologist 2020 “ by Vinoway, and by the World President of Oenologists Riccardo Cotarella.
“I am satisfied and honored with this award, because it repays me for many sacrifices, I did not expect it but I was hoping a lot. The work of the winemaker may seem easy but it is not. We need passion and a great vision in the evolution of the product, interpreting the characteristics of the vine and the territory in the best possible way ”, commented the winner.
Pala won’t have much time to celebrate. The next day, Sunday 3 October, will be the protagonist of the largest masterclass ever organized in Italy where he will present two wines produced in Sardinia that the young winemaker has been following for years: Arvisionadu G’Oceano Vigna Sennore from Cantina Arvisionadu di Benetutti and Burattini Rosso 2018 Doc Maremma from Guido F. Fendi.
Pala is a consultant for important Sardinian companies. Outside the island borders, it follows “Fontezoppa” in the Marche region, “La Marchisa” in Tropea and, in fact, the Guido F Fendi Winery in Tuscany. The “SaróFranca Millesimato”, produced by the latter winery, was the “Best Sparkling Wine of Italy” at the “5Star Wines” organized by Vinitaly – Verona Fiere. Six other wines produced by companies followed by the Sardinian oenologist entered the guide.
