A black and white kitten managed, thanks to its meows, to attract the attention of a man and to save the life of himself and his brothers. A man from Toronto, Canada, in fact heard meowing on his way home, and decided to find out where it came from, “I followed the sound and found a garbage bag in which there were kittens of only one day of life, ”he said.

One of the kittens was meowing loudly, perhaps in search of his mother, and then the man immediately took them to his daughter who took care of them all night along with some friends. The following day the felines were taken to a shelter, the Toronto Humane Society.

“If it weren’t for the meows, the cats would never have been found,” said Tania, who works at the shelter. And thanks to the help of the volunteers, the felines, who were later named Charlie, Nova and Suarez, managed to survive. After two weeks they started walking, and getting better and better. “The kittens relied on humans when they realized they would take care of them,” said Tania.

Pats love to be cuddled and play, and Suarez in particular loves squatting on Tania’s legs. Nova is the quietest of the bunch, while Charlie loves being hugged.

As soon as they were ready to be adopted they immediately found a home: Suarez was entrusted to a family where another cat named Leo lives. Charlie and Nova were instead adopted by two ladies who fell in love with them at first sight. Nova today has another friend named Milo, while Charlie has become the king of the house and he couldn’t be happier with his new life.
