Among the many features that the development team of WhatsApp, the multi-device support it is certainly one of the most important.
Multi-device function 2.0 is coming
As we all know, the functionality support has been available for some time in the beta client and allows you to use WhatsApp Web, Desktop and Portal even without the smartphone being connected to the Internet. One of the current limitations of the multi-device implementation is that this first version of the feature does not offer support for a second smartphone.
Well, the always well informed WABetaInfo found that the application development team is working on the functionality multi-device 2.0. Currently under development internally, therefore not available in the classic beta channels for Android and iOS, the functionality will allow use WhatsApp on a second mobile device. When the feature is finally available, launching the application on a second mobile device will be accompanied by an initial loading screen waiting for the service to download the history of all messages from the server.
At present it is not clear whether the function will be exclusive to tablets (WhatsApp for iPad and Android tablets) or if it will also affect smartphones. We just have to wait and hope that the WhatsApp Beta team will release a new version as soon as possible to test the functionality live.
