The positivity rate stands at 1.1x%. The deaths recorded on the last day are 44. Sicily is the region with the greatest daily increase of infections.

There are 3,099 new cases of Coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours in Italy compared to the 3,525 cases recorded yesterday, a figure which confirms the trend of declining infections. Since the beginning of the pandemic the positive cases there are now 4,660,314 ascertained in our country. THE deaths from covid on the last day there were 44, for a total of 130,697 deaths since the beginning of the Covid-19 emergency in Italy. These are the data that emerge from the today’s bulletin, Sunday 26 September, published by the Ministry of Health. On the last day, 276,221 tests were performed, including molecular and antigenic swabs with the positivity rate of 1.1%. The currently positives also drop and are now 102,244 (-330). In the last 24 hours in Italy a total of 276,221 swabs were analyzed, including molecular and antigenic tests. The rate of positivity it thus stood at 1.1%.

Hospitalization and intensive care

Covid admissions are down as well as ICU beds. The total number of Covid patients admitted to the hospital in the medical area is now 3,435 (62 less than yesterday). The beds occupied in intensive care on the other hand, they decreased by 2 units in the last 24 hours, for a total of 483 hospitalized in a critical area, with 22 admissions that day.

Covid vaccinations in Italy

According to the latest update of the Ministry of Health report on the anti Covid vaccination campaign, in Italy there are 83.9 million doses of the anti covid vaccine administered so far. The people who received the second dose or the single-dose vaccine that allows you to complete the vaccination cycle are in total 41,909,110 corresponding to 77.60% of the population over 12. In addition, 42,136 people also received the third dose equal to 4.52% of the population affected by the recall.
