In recent weeks, important news has arrived from the Facebook group for one of its flagship apps, WhatsApp. After dealing with various features that can facilitate chat management – such as cross-platform support or the aesthetics of the commands to send photos – now I’m working on a very special idea, instant cashback on the messaging platform.

Not too long ago, in fact, the group announced the launch of WhatsApp Pay, to be able to send money through the application; the function is currently only available in Brazil and India – but it is not excluded that it may also be made available in the rest of the world. Today, however, the possibility of obtaining cashback on the platform is added to this strange function; let’s see how it will work.

WhatsApp, cashback also arrives

The function on the messaging app just launched WhatsApp Pay – which allows users to exchange money with a simple click. The function, in fact, is located within the menu that appears once the + is pressed, which allows access to all the functions of the application. As anticipated, however, at the moment the feature is only available in two countries; a sort of beta test different from the usual, which however promises to take the next step and also land for the stable version.

Today, however, the Facebook group makes it known that WhatsApp Pay it is only the first step and that the possibility of requesting cashback on the application will soon arrive. The aim is clearly to incentivize the use of the internal payment function – although at the moment it is not clear if it will only work for the first payment or for all those made by a user.

According to the information released by WABetaInfo – site that takes care of commenting and explaining in the best way all the news proposed by the app developers – it will be possible to receive the cashback after only 48 hours from the forwarding. A fast and effective system, but also a symptom of the suffering that the app is going through lately. In contrast with other giants, in fact, WhatsApp is no longer the most used application and it is evident that it is trying all of them in order to regain the primacy.
