A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Australia. The shock was felt live in the TV studios of the Abc, during the program News Breakfast, and left the presenters present, Michael Rowland and Tony Armstrong, astonished. Even the CCTV cameras of the ski slopes of Mount Baller filmed the long seconds of the quake. In the images some skiers realize what is happening and stop, to then resume the descent.

The earthquake originated in 10 kilometers deep with its epicenter in the town of Mansfield in the state of Victoria, 200 kilometers northeast of Melbourne. The earthquake, as reported by Geoscience Australia, was recorded at 9.15. Two other tremors, of magnitude 4 and 3.2, hit the same area at 9.33 and 9.54. Residents reported severe tremors and evacuated buildings, as well as major property damage, especially in Melbourne.
