AGI – The candidate for mayor of Trieste Ugo Rossi (3V Movement) was arrested by the Carabinieri for outrage, resistance to a public official and aggravated injuries after being involved in riots in front of the San Giovanni post office, a populous district of the city, where problems had been reported between office workers and two users who refused to wear the mask correctly inside the premises.
The carabinieri had found Rossi giving support to two people who refused to comply with the anti Covid regulations. At the request of the military to show a document, the candidate for mayor at the next municipal authorities refused to deliver it and put up a firm resistance, which then culminated in a physical confrontation.
In the circumstance, two Carabinieri were injured and were transported to the Cattinara emergency room. Rossi was then loaded with difficulty into a car and taken to the Via Hermet barracks, where he was declared under arrest.
At the end of the formalities, Rossi fell ill and was taken to the hospital. Subsequently accompanied to his home and placed under house arrest, at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor of Trieste.
Rossi, is known for his positions close to the no-vax and the slogans of his campaign for the next municipalities of the Julian capital are: “Enough closures, masks and Green pass” to “sweep away all unconstitutional measures from the city of Trieste” .
In a video posted on his Fb profile, the candidate tells live the moments before the riots. The camera is always turned towards Rossi who reports on the arrival of “two police patrols, four of the carabinieri, because – he explains – one person did not have a ‘muzzle’, that is, he had it but lowered it as he could not breathe “.
Rossi has a megaphone with him, with which, among other things, he invites citizens to “raise their heads” referring to the restrictions caused by the green pass. There are some excited moments in which the police ask the candidate for identification documents and he refuses to hand them over.
