According to a comparison sheet first published by mistake and then removed by Amazon on the Canadian and Mexican versions of its site, Two new Kindle Paperwhite models are on the way. The new version of the reader, according to the comparison sheet, will offer a larger screen, 6.8 inches versus 6 inches of the first Paperwhite, with a definition of 300 ppi and with a greater number of LEDs for the readability of the electronic ink screen in the absence of ambient light, as many as 17 instead of the 4 of the original version.
The images also feature apparently thinner bezels and reveal the introduction of a top-of-the-range model with several more features. The “Signature Edition“in fact, it will be equipped with an ambient light sensor with automatic lighting adjustment function, the possibility of adjusting the color temperature of the light, greater integrated memory (32 GB instead of 8 GB) as well as the possibility of wireless battery charging. Both models will be also water resistant with IPX8 certification like the predecessor. The prices also fall in part: the two new versions will cost respectively 100 euros and 140 euros, according to what is reported in Canadian dollars. The Paperwhite model with the existing specifications would be repositioned at a price of around € 60. Today Kindle Paperwhite is on sale in Italy starting from € 110, discounted from € 130.
