the e-bike from Harley-Davidson they are no longer a novelty, with the independent Serial 1 branch having started sales a few months ago. We are not talking about sporty e-bikes, but rather about products dedicated to urban mobility, with a distinctive style and with some historical references to the Milwaukee.
Precisely this design was much more evident in the first bike presented, in reality only a prototype that did not materialize. But apparently Harley-Davidson heard the cry of many fans calling out for her, so she decided to make a limited edition called MOSH/TRIBUTE, which incorporates the style of the first Harley motorcycles from 100 years ago.
The new bike takes up the style of the prototype, always with the same frame (also used for standard e-bikes) but with some simplifications in the details. The knobs are therefore no longer made with strips of rolled leather, but are normal even if always in brown leather. The handlebar is less clean, due to the obvious need for electronic controls for the electrical part, and in the center comes a integrated LED headlight developed directly by Harley-Davidson.
The contrasting color remains for the leather saddle, made by Brooks in England, while the Gates carbon strap no longer brown, but black. Curiously also the logo Serial 1 at the front it acquires a bronze color. The white tires also remain, which now have a brand and a model: Schwalbe Super Moto-X.
As for the technical part, everything remains unchanged compared to the production bikes. The electric motor a Brose S Mag with 90 Nm of torque, powered by a 529 Wh lithium battery. Everything is managed by the Brose Display Remote, with 4 pedal assistance modes: Eco, Tour, Sport, Boost. The MOSH / TRIBUTE can be ordered from the dedicated page, at the price of $ 5,999, and will be made in only 650 copies, of which will arrive in Europe. Deliveries are promised in time for this year’s holiday season.
