Giorgio Armani celebrates the fortieth anniversary of Emporio Armani through a series of activities concentrated on Thursday 23 September. Starting with the Emporio Armani men’s and women’s spring / summer 2022 fashion show to be held in the Armani / Teatro spaces and which marks the return of the brand to the show in the presence of the public after a few seasons of video projects. On the same day, “The way we are” will be inaugurated at Armani / Silos, the exhibition-manifesto that tells the essence of Emporio Armani: four decades of the brand’s history in the form of clothes, images and films, which retrace its philosophy and spirit. On the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, a special issue of Emporio Armani Magazine will be launched. The magazine, directed like the previous issues by Rosanna Armani, symbolically bears the same title as the exhibition The way we are, and will be on sale starting from 23 September. The event will be preceded by a series of billboards which, in addition to the mural in via Broletto, will appear from 13 September in some of the most significant places in Milan, such as Corso Garibaldi and via Tortona. The customization of bus and tram shelters throughout the city, of the Garibaldi and Centrale stations in Milan, of some areas of the Malpensa airport and of the Termini station in Rome, and finally of the historic newsstand in Largo Treves in Milan, is also planned. renewed and reopened with the collaboration of Air mail, of which Giorgio Armani will be a partner for the entire month of September. The series of events underlines the dynamic and democratic spirit of the brand, which since 1981 observes and interprets the way of life of people in the metropolis, and celebrates their contemporary and inclusive attitude.
