Another femicide, another horror. A 21-year-old mother, Alessandra Zorzin, with a 2-year-old girl, was killed in Montecchio Maggiore in the province of Vicenza by an acquaintance, the 38-year-old Marco Turrin di Vigodarzene, a security guard. The man killed the girl with a pistol shot. Then he came out of the woman’s house, calmly, and recovered the car in the parking lot opposite. The testimony is from a restaurateur, owner of a nearby restaurant: “I saw him go away, he walked at a normal pace, not in a hurry, as if nothing had happened”, said the witness. The manhunt began, which ended only in the late afternoon, when Turrin commits suicide by shooting himself in the face. A chilling end, like the day of murderous madness that began at 11.
Alessandra opened the door to her executioner, a regular guest of the house. Neighbors speak of a “particularly assiduous” male presence in recent times. However, screams are heard, a particularly animated quarrel. Then they report a dull, “disturbing” noise. After a few minutes Alessandra’s doorbell rings, but she doesn’t open. At that point, fearing the worst, they try to contact the woman’s husband, the only one in possession of the keys. The couple had lived for a year and a half in Montecchio Maggiore, their relationship seemed to proceed normally. But the loose cannon Turrin weighed on them, a classic crazy splinter. “The inhabitants of Valdimolino (fraction of Montecchio, ed) are upset. It is a very quiet community and no one can explain this terrible gesture – explains the mayor of Montecchio Gianfranco Trapula – once again, unfortunately, to the detriment of a young woman and a young mother “.
