Three blitzes in a matter of minutes. A 21-year-old man, an irregular Moroccan citizen in Italy and with specific precedents, was arrested on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in Milan on charges of aggravated robbery after assaulting three people who were in the Biblioteca degli Alberi park, the new green area of via De Castillia under the skyscrapers of Porta Nuova.
For him the handcuffs were released shortly after one, when he kicked and punched a 27-year-old who was with a friend and who had walked away for a moment to make a phone call. After surprising the young man from behind, the 21-year-old hit him and, after an attempted reaction from the robbed, hit him with a bottle in the head.
When the alarm at 112 came, the police immediately intervened on the spot and blocked the robber, who had stolen the victim’s cell phone and wallet. Just as the agents were taking the attacker away, two other men – a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old – approached the Volante to say that a few minutes earlier, they too had been mugged by the thug.
