(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 15 – Sunday 3 October, starting at 9, the Via Appia will return to be populated by runners thanks to the Roma Appia Run, one of the most prestigious races of the entire Capitoline running scene, which is held over the distance of 13 km and, for the non-competitive, 4 km. Organized by Acsi, with the collaboration of Acsi Italia Atletica and Acsi Campidoglio Palatino, with the patronage of the Municipality of Rome, Department of Sport, Lazio Region, Coni and Fidal.
Now in its 22nd edition, the Roma Appia Run is famous for being the only race in the world to be held on 5 different pavements: asphalt, sampietrino, lava paving, dirt and finally the track of the Nando Martellini stadium at the Terme di Caracalla. .
The meeting is scheduled for October 3 at 8, in the stadium of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome. The start of the non-competitive tests of 4 km will be given at 9, the competitive and non-competitive one of 13 km will be given at 9.30.
Also this edition of the Roma Appia Run will be able to count on the fascinating prologue of the Appian Lightning – in memory of Pietro Mennea.
Saturday 2 October, from 3 pm, the Terme di Caracalla stadium will host children (max 16 years) who, thanks to the support of ‘Emergenza Sorrisi’, will run to make other children smile.
