In a time when due to the pandemic it is still difficult to move and meet people freely, there is a distortion of our perception of known and unknown places and contexts, which appear to us in some way different due to the change taking place in the world. and in our interiority. Five photographic artists investigate the theme of relationship with the environment surrounding from personal perspectives and on the basis of one’s own sensitivity.
From the dreamlike and alienating glimpses of Italian cities of Achille Ascani, to the surrealist and metaphysical overlaps of Gianni Otr, from the poetic and “impossible” compositions of medieval buildings designed by Bruno Samorì to the reflected, enlarged and revealed nature contained in Andrea Tirindelli’s photographs, up to the expertly studied environments of light, geometry and illusion Stefano Tubaro: in their shots places of dream and vision, hypothesized by the eye of the photographer who documents what he sees, alters reality, suggests interpretations.
