During today’s event, Apple announced its new iPad 10.2 (2021), which retains the same design as the previous model, but is further enhanced.
The new budget iPad remains anchored to the past on the design side, so the front will still see the presence of rather pronounced bezels and a Home button with integrated Touch ID. The display remains one unit 10.2-inch Retina Display, but gains support for True Tone, which adjusts the content displayed on the screen based on the color temperature in the room.
iPad 10.2 (2021): The Auto Framing function arrives
In the side frame we also find a front room from 12 megapixel Ultra-Wide with Auto Framing, the same as we recently saw on the new iPad Pro M1, for even more engaging video calls. When the user moves, the frame moves automatically to keep him always in the shot. When other users join the call, the camera detects them and gradually zooms out to include them in the conversation. At the rear remains an 8 megapixel camera.
Under the body, however, we find the chip A13 Bionic, compared to the previous generation A12 Bionic, which offers a 20% increase in performance over the previous generation, so all daily tasks will not be a problem. On the connectivity side there will be no problems, in fact there is no lack of support for Gigabit class 4G networks.
Even on the productivity side, the new iPad 10.2 (2021) always remains a guarantee, thanks to the support for the Apple Pencil Generation I and the Smart Keyboard, both sold separately.
On board the new iPad we find immediately iPad OS 15, which offers a more intuitive multitasking experience, making functions like Split View and Slide Over easier to use and more powerful. We will also find a new Home screen with integrated widgets, the App Library, system-wide clipboard with Quick Notes, SharePlay, a redesigned Safari experience and new tools that improve concentration.
