The Tar of Lazio gave reason toEnac: minors and fragile air passengers will be entitled to free seat assignment next to their parents or accompanying persons. A decision rejecting the appeal filed by Ryanair against the provision of last July 16 adopted by the body which imposed the aseat assignment for minors at no extra cost and people with reduced mobility close to their carers.
A choice made to protect the most fragile categories of passengers, explains Enac. Motivation shared by the administrative judges who therefore agreed with ENAC and rejected the Irish company ‘s accusation against the body of having intervened on tariff issues. Only safety reasons, flight safety – Enac clarifies, explaining once again the provision of July 16 -: in the event of any emergencies, minors or people with disabilities or other pathologies may not be able to act and move independently .
But Enac announces that it will continue to monitor the behavior of all airlines, with penalties of up to 50 thousand euros if non-compliant. The case also involved other carriers, such as Wizzair, Easyjet e Volotea, who have already been fined for this. The Minister of Sustainable Mobility is satisfied Enrico Giovannini: End to a hateful practice.
