The lifeless body of Federico Lugato, the hiker originally from Venice and resident in Milan, was found recently, missing since last August 26 in Val Zoldana.
The Alpine Rescue confirmed this to ANSA. Lugato’s body was found in the areas where the research was concentrated, in the San Sebastiano Group.

“They found Federico. We’ll make it somehow. Thanks also to you.” Elena Panciera, wife of Federico Lugato, the hiker found dead today after 18 days in Val Zoldana, writes it in a ‘story’ on her Instagram profile. Elena Panciera had activated many friends and acquaintances via social networks, who had participated in the research and had activated a fundraiser. In the last few days she had returned home to Milan. The message is contained in a short video where Lugato plays with the house cat.
