Genoa. Ruined evening for those who had booked a table, but above all for the managers of the local Babilonia, in Corso Italia. The local police intervened at around 8 pm on Saturday at the “lounge and hookah bar” and ordered its closure.
According to the agents of the evening service of the Medio Levante operational unit, in fact, the Babilonia functioned as a disco despite some closure provisions for public safety: it is still not clear – the information is conflicting – whether it is related to the health emergency from Covid or to structural reasons , the instability of an insole.
A local police officer has ordered the owners to close. After an initial hesitation, the managers warned the customers who had booked that they could not receive them and let the service staff out and subsequently closed the access.
A patrol remained on site to intervene in case of any gatherings of customers who, thinking the place was open, had presented themselves at the door and to verify that the closure was respected.
We remind you that by decree the discos can remain open only if they offer alternative activities to dancing. So the Babylon, in this summer 2021, had organized itself with tables and hookahs and was one of the nightlife venues of the season.
