Pierangelo Pellizzari, 61, was arrested by the Carabinieri, the man accused of killing his thirty-year-old wife Rita Amenzenel from Vicenza. He was tracked down near home.
Pellizzari had barricaded himself, still with the gun in his pocket, in a house in Villaga, not far from the house where the couple lived. He was arrested by the Carabinieri.
To kill his wife Rita Amenze, the man fired at least four gunshots. According to what emerged from the public prosecutor’s office, the woman was hit by three bullets that disfigured her face and one from behind, from top to bottom. The victim tried to take cover with his arms, which were also grazed by the bullets. Eventually Pellizzari fired a shot in the air to secure his escape. Witnesses said he calmly slipped the gun into his jacket, got into his jeep and drove away. Investigators are also sifting through the frames of a video that allegedly portrays the killer having coffee in a bar just before carrying out the murder.
