Zlatan would be a member of Bethard.com, an activity prohibited by international federations for players
Zlatan Ibrahimovic would have broken the rules of Fifa with his participation in the betting company Bethard, and risks running into penalties ranging from a millionaire fine to the extreme hypothesis of a disqualification. The Swedish newspaper writes it Aftonbladet. The Stockholm Football Association writes Aftonbladet on his online edition, he was aware of the problem three years ago and the situation would have been an obstacle to Ibra’s return to the national team already for the 2018 World Cup, where Sweden qualified against Italy.
According to the investigation of the main Swedish daily, Ibrahimovic through his company, Unknown AB, would own 10% of the shares of the betting company with registered office in Malta, and the infringement of the FIFA rules would have been triggered with participation in the qualifiers World Cup, against Georgia, while the Uefa rules – less clear on bans and possible sanctions – already with the Europa League played with Milan. “We have not talked about it with Ibra”, the position of the Swedish Football Association, convinced that the limits of the prohibitions envisaged by FIFA are not entirely clear.
