Elon Musk can certainly be satisfied with his Model S Plaid: the latest addition to Tesla has established a new record with regard to electric vehicles on the circuit of Nürburgring.

A Model S Plaid “Completely new”, that is, just left the factory and which has not undergone any changes to maximize performance, it has covered a lap of the Nürburgring, equal to 20.7 kilometers, in 7 minutes 30.909 seconds, thus setting a new record for “production” electric vehicles. The previous record belonged to Porsche Taycan and was established in 2019, with a time equal to 7 minutes and 42 seconds.
In a tweet, Tesla’s founder claimed that thecompany would make another attempt at the Nürburgring using a “Modified Model S Plaid with added aerodynamic surfaces, carbon brakes and track tires”, all to try to improve the already excellent time.
