Roma – Sunday 12th September at 10.00, theItinera Association organizes in Rome a guided tour through the alleys of Pigna district to find the traces of‘Iseo Campense, that is to say The temple of Isis at Campo Marzio.
Roma – The guided tour conducted by Dr. Marone is one stroll inside the alleys of the Pigna district to find the numerous ones traces of the ancient place of worship, dedicated to dea Iside and his consort Serapide, deities imported to Rome from Egypt at the beginning of the Empire.
During the guided tour through the alleys of the Rione Pigna, you can admire them fragments of statues and various obelisks scattered in the area are evidence of its presence in Campo Marzio. Fragments of the Urbis shape they allow us to define exactly the plan of the sanctuary and its location.
