First day of school for over 90,000 students in South Tyrol. The Return to the Benches, cwith staggered entrances and exits to avoid gatherings, was dedicated to the surgical mask for everyone (from elementary school to high school) both in the classroom and in the courtyard during the break. Surgical mask, except for the Ffp2 for kindergarten teachers, also for teaching and non-teaching staffhe could only work with the Green pass. In the Italian language school, at the moment, there have been few people who have dismissed themselves and about six who have been suspended because they are contrary to the obligation of the “Green Card”, which is obtained if recovered from Covid-19, or if vaccinated, or in possession of a negative swab valid for 48 hours.
Problems in the German school
Classes should be regular in the next few days, contrary to what might happen in the German language school. The approximately 20 self-dismissals among teachers, together with the 58 suspensions between teachers and non-teaching staff, create some problems regarding the ease of finding alternates. On the obligation of the Green Pass at school the Codacons, also in Trentino Alto Adige, has decided to appeal against the compulsory. “It is unconstitutional – reads a note – because it is proving to be a tool for firing those who, after years of sacrifices and sacrifices, managed to overcome the precariousness of work and to obtain a job”. However, in a German-language school in Tirolo, near Merano, the restart will be only for Wednesday, as six teachers tested positive, the first day did not have any particular shocks.
Greetings from the minister
“What I saw – says Giuliano Vettorato, provincial councilor for school in Italian – a return to school marked by great joy and positivity, after the difficulties of last year”. And iMinister Bianchi, in a message of good wishes, wanted to emphasize that “the school can find oneself” and that this has “a new beginning for children, teachers, staff and all families”. The Head of Education also added that it “worked to ensure a smooth start, with safety measures and staff in order”. And, speaking of safety, pending sample screening, with salivary tests, planned by the government and which should leave in South Tyrol in the coming weeks, a matter of days for the start of a sweeping monitoring (from elementary to high school) wanted by the Province of Bolzano and which will be carried out with do-it-yourself nasal tests. Already deployed last spring, unlike the first time it will not be mandatory (with distance learning for those who did not), but on a voluntary basis.
