Coronavirus data in Italy today, Monday 6 September

In the last 24 hours, 3,361 positive cases of coronavirus and 52 deaths due to COVID-19 have been detected in Italy. Currently the hospitalized are 4,872 (84 more than yesterday), of which 570 in the intensive care wards (2 less than yesterday) and 4,302 in the other wards (86 more than yesterday). 48,305 molecular swabs and 86,088 antigenic rapid tests were analyzed. The percentage of positive molecular swabs was 6.99 percent. On Sunday, the infections recorded were 5,315 and the deaths 49.

The regions that have recorded more cases in the last 24 hours are Sicily (943), Emilia-Romagna (513), Tuscany (313), Lazio (295), Veneto (274).

On Sunday, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella attended the opening ceremony of the academic year of the University of Pavia, where, among other things, he made an appeal to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, reserving severe words towards one of the most widespread arguments among the so-called “no vax” movements.
