Raffaella Carrà’s desire to visit a last time San Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo has been granted. At 11 o’clock today, September 4, his ashes arrived in the town, transported by a moved man Sergio Japino, Raffaella’s lifelong choreographer and director. To welcome the urn with the presenter’s ashes, as Ansa says, there was the director of Tele Radio Padre Pio, Stefano Campanella e Fra Francesco Di Leo, rector of the Sanctuary of San Giovanni Rotondo. At the end of the ceremony, during which a plaque in honor of Raffaella was unveiled, positioned in front of the headquarters of Tele Padre Pio, which it was the Carrà to inaugurate, Sergio Japino said: “Listen to my silence”.
The director Campanella also spent a few words for the presenter: “We want to say thanks to Raffaella for the great woman she was and that we got to know”, and then recalled that “Raffaella in 2001 inaugurated the headquarters of this small station, since then she has always had a very strong bond with us”.
Enrico Beruschi remembers Raffaella Carrà: “He wanted to come back here”
Comedian too Enrico Beruschi was present in San Giovanni Rotondo at the ceremony for the arrival of the ashes of Raffaella Carrà. On the occasion he wished to reiterate that “He wanted to come back here, not as a real presence in flesh and blood, but as a presence of heart “. He then recalled that “The only time we spoke cheerfully was here in San Giovanni Rotondo for the inauguration of Teleradio Padre Pio. It was a meeting between two old friends who had never met before and who admired each other from afar ”.
Beruschi finally told an anecdote: “The funny side of that day was when I scolded the friars who wriggled like eels dancing to the notes of Raffaella’s songs, I took the responsibility of scolding them”, concluded the actor.
