Kawasaki has begun to unveil the 2022 models, obviously starting from off-road vehicles to move on to the bikes already in the range that are updated for next season.
At the wheel of the Z900RS, which you find here, Kawasaki Europa now takes off the veils W800.
The bike is basically this year’s model, a model that flanked the Street and Café, proposed in the new color Candy Fire Red /Metallic Diablo Black with graphic pattern in silver on the red tank which always has rubber knee pads.
The W650, from which the 800 version was derived, was the one that opened the fashion for classic motorcycles in 1999. A bike with a British appearance, because the first W1 which landed in the United States in 1971 was based on a twin-cylinder BSA of reference for the time.
The engine, approved Euro 5, is an in-line two-cylinder 773 cc with a splendid classic look: it has air cooling and the refinement of distribution controlled by sapling and bevel pairs. Provides the power of 48 cavalli at 6,500 rpm (suitable for driving license A2 therefore) and a torque of 6 kgm at 4,800 rpm; the gearbox is five-speed.
It has a traditional-looking round headlight, but it is led, and also the instrumentation double circular dial refers to the past. The finishes are very neat; there are the chromed metal fenders and the polished aluminum parts like the chromed ones show quality, while the logo historical relief on the tank, recently changed, is certainly more beautiful than the previous one which was more anonymous.
The chassis includes a 41 mm telehydraulic fork, with rubber dust cover bellows to cover the stems, and a pair of rear shock absorbers. The front track measures 19 inches and the rims are spoked for tires with inner tubes. The weight is stated in 221 kg with full.
The dates of I arrive on sale and the price, which for this year’s version is 10,040 euros.
