CHRONICLE OF ROME – Throughout the day yesterday, the Carabinieri of the Compagnia Roma Centro and of the Piazza Venezia Command have implemented a massive control activity within the tourist areas adjacent to the Colosseum archaeological park.

The Carabinieri, at the end of an observation service, noticed the 9 subjects, of various nationalities, while exercising in the areas adjacent to the Flavian amphitheater, without any qualification, tourist promotion and intermediation activities for the sale of entrance tickets to the Colosseum , previously purchased online, better known as ‘skip the line’, in violation of the urban regulation of Roma Capitale.

The nine irregular promoters were sanctioned for a total of € 4,500 and at the same time the penalty for violating the parking ban was also applied, with an order to leave the Colosseum area for 48 hours, better known as urban daspo.

In addition, the military also seized 5 plasticized ‘tour operator’ badges, 2 blocks of receipts made out to a tourist agency, 15 entrance tickets for the Colosseum and a ‘Pos’ device for electronic payments, with 15 receipts certifying the ‘Pay Success.
