Macabre discovery today morning, Sunday 1 August, in Milan, in the Porta Venezia area. A man of about eighty was found dead in his apartment in via Lambro. His body was already in a state of decomposition, which is why the doctors who intervened could not help but ascertain his death.
Elder died at home in solitude
The man’s neighbors gave the alarm to the single number 112, suspicious of the acrid smell coming from the 80-year-old’s apartment. Not only the men sent by the Lombardy regional emergency emergency agency arrived on the spot, but also the carabinieri and the firefighters. The firefighters had to break through the living room window to be able to enter the house, as the door of the house was closed from the entrance. Once inside, the men and women of the police who intervened, together with the rescuers, found the body of the man, who died in solitude. In fact, no one seems to have asked for help because they were unable to reach it. The causes of death must be ascertained even if, considering that no sign of violence was found on his body, it is presumable that the elderly person died of natural causes.
Seventy-year-old found dead at home after five months
Last May in Binasco, in the province of Milan, a 71-year-old man was found dead. The last time he was seen was in January, then no one had looked for him anymore also because of the Covid that had forced (especially the elderly) back home. Not even his own family members, who live in the same municipality, had looked for him more and more. He had reportedly lost his life about five months before the body was discovered.
