Milano – Spiderman visiting come on children hospitalized in Pediatric ward of the Niguarda hospital in Milan. On the occasion of the World Day dedicated to the superhero, in fact, the figure of the spider man Mattia Villardita, recently received by Pope Francis, he wanted to greet the little patients, entering, with the help of the firefighters, directly from the window on the second floor of the ward, after having regularly undergone the anti-Covid swab.
“I like Peter Parker, because believes in friendship and family and he is a normal boy like me, who I suffered and got up “, says Villardita, the ” neighborhood Spiderman ” who after a childhood spent in the hospital decided to commit himself to bringing smiles to the sick little ones.
”And with great pride that we host events of this kind. Staying in the hospital is always difficult, especially for the little ones, and this gesture is a way to instill courage and give a little joy to children at a particular moment ”, says Marco Bosio, general manager of Niguarda. The visit was possible thanks to MediCinema Italia, the non-profit association that operates in hospitals with film therapy as a treatment tool. Fulvia Salvi, president of the non-profit organization, commented: “ We have set up a cinema therapy room here in Niguarda since 2018, a significant step in the field of complementary medicine. Our commitment is to help the maintenance and improvement of the patient’s psycho-physical state, contributing with targeted cinema and art activities and events like this, with a superhero who is a symbol for many children ”.
