Ventimiglia. Grains as big as golf balls, capable of shattering glass in greenhouses, but also of piercing gutters and plastic chairs on terraces. This morning Ventimiglia woke up like this: under an exceptionally strong ice shower. Particularly affected are the hamlets of Porra, Bevera and Calvo.
Not all of the border town, in fact, was “bombarded” by the violent hailstorm, which was particularly concentrated in the first hinterland.
Upon awakening, the residents had to do the damage count, particularly high for the economic activities related to floriculture affected by the exceptional weather event. There are also several damages to the car bodywork.
The hailstorm also hit Ceriana and other places in the hinterland.
