AGI – Covid-19 positives continue to increase: new cases are 6,171 (+475 compared to the day before). An increase, however, small compared to that recorded on July 28 compared to 24 hours before, since it was +1.174. The number of swabs performed was 224,790, about 24,000 fewer than the previous day.
The positivity rate increased from 2.3% to 2.7%. The number of deaths is 19 (on July 28 there were 15) bringing the total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic to 128,029. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
Also on the front of hospitalizations increased: +45 compared with July 28, a total of 1,730 patients with symptoms; the people admitted to intensive care are currently 194, +11 on the day before, and there are 20 daily admissions against 9 the day before.
Currently positive people in Italy are 78,484 (on 28 July they were 74,161); those in home isolation 76,560 (the day before 72,293). The discharged healed are so far 4,130,393. The region that records the the greatest number of new cases of positivity is still Lazio, with 780 (the day before 772); then Tuscany with +748, Veneto with +737, Sicily with +719, Lombardy with +661.
