Tonight at 7:30 pm at the Lido di Milano the councilor for participation Lorenzo Lipparini will present the result of the survey which asked to evaluate the role of citizens in projects participated by the Municipality.
The dominant opinion in response to the question “How much, in your opinion, can citizens influence the choices of the Administration in the government of the territory in which they live, by participating in associative life or other participatory processes?” it was “Much or very much”
The survey was conducted in the first weeks of July on 112 people involved in various capacities in the signing of an agreement and was intended to investigate the effectiveness of the participatory policy and to collect evaluations and suggestions on how to manage existing and future agreements. .
“A result we are proud of – commented Lipparini – which finds further confirmation in the responses of this research, from which it emerges that the positive effects of this model of participation persist even after some time in the trust and desire to do of the citizens involved “.
There are 86 participated projects of which 50 are signed, 18 are in progress and 18 are currently suspended. The most frequent areas of intervention are urban care and regeneration, open squares, cleaning from vandalism and graffiti, shared gardens, social activities, enhancement of open data and spiritual assistance.
“The indications arrived – concluded Lipparini – will be useful ideas for perfecting a model that works. This Administration closes its mandate leaving the city with a series of very concrete tools to favor and improve the quality of participation in the active and political life of the city. Among these, in addition to the Agreements, the new Regulation for the implementation of participation rights, the Geoportal, its interactive maps, the Open data on the Municipality portal and the digital platform Milano Partecipa with the new functionality for the management of online petitions “.
