(ANSA) – ERACLEA (VENICE), 25 JUL – He desperately tried to save his father, who died drowned, swallowed by the waves, and is now in critical care in Mestre (Venice) in intensive care. It is a 16-year-old Irish boy who, when he noticed that his parent was no longer able to return to shore, threw himself into the water until he dragged him to the shore, with great difficulty.
For the man, however, there was nothing more to do: the victim is a 51 year old, on vacation with his wife and son in a farmhouse in Eraclea (Venice), not far from the place of the tragedy, on the border with the town of Caorle.
The young man was rescued by the helicopter’s medical team and rushed to the Mestre hospital: the prognosis is reserved. Investigations and surveys by the Coast Guard of Caorle. The emergency call arrived at the operations center shortly after 12: at that moment the sea was rough and bathing was not recommended. It is not excluded that the drowning of man may have been triggered by an illness or congestion. (HANDLE).
