It is not a successor to the F40 and F50, but in its own way it is an even rarer Ferrari than these two. Let’s talk about the F60, which the car manufacturer from Maranello made its debut in 2014 to celebrate 60 years of the Prancing Horse in North America: it was produced in only 10 specimens, and one of these will be auctioned in August by RM Sotheby’s. To understand how exclusive this car is, just think that there are more examples of the 250 GTO in the world.

The chassis of the Ferrari F60, as well as the 6.3-liter V12 engine capable of unleashing up to 730 hp of total power, come from the F12 Berlinetta, while the bodywork is completely different and is inspired by the 275 GTB / 4 NART Spider, produced in very few units in the 1960s exclusively for the US market. From an aesthetic point of view, the livery of this rare Ferrari F60 has been finished in Blu Nart. The design boasts a strong retro inspiration, and features a modern reinterpretation of the classic grill the radiator of the same shape as those found on the Ferraris of the 60s, a characteristic rear spoiler and a simple fabric roof, proposed as an alternative to a carbon fiber hard-top.

Inside the passenger compartment the sports seats stand out: the passenger seat is finished in black, while that of the driver in red. To guarantee the exclusivity of the specimen that will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s there is a numbered plate. It is not clear at what amount this rare Ferrari F60 will be purchased, but according to the latest estimates cited by Carscoops it will exceed quota 2.5 million dollars.
