According to various newspapers, Telecom Italia would be ready to review the offers and the agreement signed with DAZN for the distribution of sport in streaming, a few weeks after the presentation of the TIMVision package.
The decision could come in the wake of the concerns expressed by the Antitrust regarding competition. The two companies would be ready to put some changes on the Authority’s table to dispel the doubts raised about the possible damage to competition.
Specifically, the colleagues of Football and Finance report, TIM would be ready to refrain from marketing bundle offers including ultra-broadband subscriptions along with DAZN, Infinity + and other platforms.
Last July the Antitrust had opened an investigation into the DAZN-TIM agreement and in a press release it had highlighted that this proceeding is intended to ascertain “whether there is a possible agreement restricting competition with reference to the clauses of the agreement that commercially restrict DAZN in the offer of pay-TV services, with the effect, among other things, of reducing its ability to offer discounts to end users; and to hinder other telecommunications operators from undertaking any commercial initiatives“.
