Tokyo Olympics, the first medal for Italy from taekwondo: Vito Dell’Aquila is in the final

The blue Vito Dell’Aquila is in the final in taekwondo (cat. 58 kg) at the Tokyo Olympics. And the first Italian medal at the Games, even if the metal is still unknown. The Apulian won over the Argentine in the semifinal Lucas Guzman for 29-10. Dell’Aquila, 20 years old from Mesagne, had previously beaten the Hungarian 26-13 Omar Salim in the round of 16 and the Thai Ramnarong Awekwiharee to the quarters (37-17).

In the final the blue will challenge the Tunisian Jendoubi: appointment at ore 14.45.
