Anger against the government, accused of inability to guarantee effective vaccination coverage for the population

The protest started the day after the authorities announced the hypothesis that the restrictions could remain in force until October: protesters without masks violated the rules on non-essential travel and public gatherings, and the Sydney police said he had launched a “high visibility police operation” in response to the protest.

Having emerged virtually unscathed from the first wave of the pandemic, around half of the 25 million Australians are now in solitary confinement in several cities, with growing anger against the government accused of inability to provide adequate supplies of vaccines. Only 11% of the population is in fact fully vaccinated.
