Following the official reveal at the end of EA Play 2021, Electronic Arts has provided an interesting series of information regarding the ambitious project of Dead Space Remake.
There are many additions that will be introduced by EA Motive, but there will also be some cuts to the original experience we lived in 2008. While respecting the original work, art director Mike Yazijian confirmed that some unspecified items will be removed from Dead Space Remake. This is because, according to the judgment of the authors of the renovation, not everything worked within Visceral Games’ survival horror. Unfortunately the topic has not been further explored, and we will have to wait for further action from EA Motive.
The internal Electronic Arts team then confirmed that Dead Space Remake supporterà l’audio 3D so that the horror experience is also amplified from the sound point of view: “We are working to improve the experience and deliver believable audio that focuses on the positioning of objects and the propagation of 3D sounds.”.
Dead Space Remake is expected on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, at the moment Electronic Arts has not yet announced any launch window for the remake of the historic survival horror. In the meantime, we invite you to retrace the history of Dead Space.
