Milan, 23 July 2021 – The Milan prosecutor Paolo Storari has asked for archiving of the investigation in which was under investigation for culpable excess in the legitimate use of weapons a police officer that in the night between 22 and 23 February last, during an intervention in via Sulmona, exploded three gunshots, two of which they hit, killing him, Jerry Dimapulangan, 45-year-old Filipino. The policeman, is the hypothesis, reacted to the danger created by that man who was attacking him and his colleague with a knife and who had also tried to throw himself at two passers-by before.

Two police cars, this is the reconstruction of the episode, that night had arrived in via Sulmona later a report to 112, made shortly after midnight. Dimaculangan had suddenly come out of a hedge holding a large knife from the kitchen. He had tried to attack the first crew arrived on the spot, then had targeted a 23-year-old agent arrived with the second Volante with the clear aim of stabbing him. The young policeman stepping back had fired first an intimidating shot and then the next two, which hit the target, abdomen and right hip. Dieversi witnesses later confirmed the story of the dramatic episode already made by the agents.
