Treviglio (Bergamo) – The Bianchi expands its historical presence in province of Bergamo, in Treviglio, building a new plant after purchasing the area owned by the Lombardini Group. The interventions that will start in the coming weeks are aimed at the installation of the new production line. The confirmation came from the mayor of Treviglio Juri Imeri, awaiting the communication of the industrial plan by the company that belongs to the Swedish group Grimaldi led by the managing director Fabrizio Scalzotto. According to what was anticipated, thanks to the new plant the company will be able to build more than a thousand bicycles a day against the current 250, thanks to a total investment of over 30 million euros which will also lead to a significant increase in employment, bringing up to 280 jobs in the Treviso factory where currently 180 employees are. “The relationship between Bianchi and Treviglio is a particular relationship, as demonstrated by the choice to remain in our city and the great waiting for this news which is now official – comments the mayor -. The urban planning problem linked to the area now purchased by Bianchi is also solved for the municipal administration.
