Great victory for the Edmondo de Amicis institute of higher education in Rovigo at the first national graphics competition, organized by the Miur. The competition was reserved for pupils of technical institutes with a graphic and communication address in Italy. The competition took place in the historic Aldini Valeriani technical institute in Bologna. Among the 23 works produced by the young people who took part in the test, the one created by Tommaso Chiorboli, enrolled in the 4AG class in graphic design and communication, was the absolute winner at national level. Each participating Institute has selected a pupil from among its members who then enrolled in the competition. Professor

Alfredo Pierro, who accompanied the pupil to Bologna, strengthened his class group in the laboratory, finally choosing the candidate’s name. The graphic project commissioned by the graphic association Enigp and its director Tommaso Savio Martinico was based on the remaking of the logo and the different applications of the same on different supports. The motivation for the victory is as follows: “The pupil has shown to have excellent lettering management skills for the creation of an original and versatile logotype on different supports. A simple and modern form, easily memorized even in reduction”. Tommaso Chiorboli enthusiastic about the result he managed to achieve that brought prestige to his school. The student commented: “A unique and very motivating experience, I am proud of the result I achieved, but it was not easy, it was two intense days but in the end it was really worth it”. His skills, which had however already been highlighted during the school career, were particularly appreciated and enhanced by a victory that also testifies to the high professional profile offered by the Edmondo de Amicis institute of Rovigo. A moment of pride in particular also for all those students who actively participate in the activities proposed by the school, with passion and desire to achieve results. “With this victory – the comment of the school director Osvaldo Pasello – Tommaso has brought our city of Rovigo to the honors of the national news”. In fact, next year the De Amicis school will have the honor of hosting students and teachers from all the graphic and communication schools in Italy, to compete for the first prize of the 2022 edition.
