Chievo Verona’s appeal was rejected by the FIGC council: the clivense club is currently excluded from the next Serie B, now Cosenza is one step away from being rescued.

Serie B, excluding Chievo: 5 “failures” in Serie C

The Federal Council has decided to confirm the decisions of COVISOC by rejecting the registration applications of six clubs: they are Chievo Verona in Serie B and Carpi, Casertana, Novara, Paganese and Sambenedettese in Serie C. These clubs will now be able to appeal to the CONI College of Guarantee to try to overturn the decision and get enrollment in the next championship thus avoiding having to restart from the minor leagues.

Now the official release of the FIGC is awaited, naturally all the teams close to a repechage are hoping to be confirmed, including Cosenza which could participate in the next Serie B championship in place of Chievo Verona.
