When will heavy thunderstorms arrive and in what areas? “The phenomena may already occur from the first hours of night between Thursday 15 and Friday 16 July in particular on the western sector of the region, to then extend to the rest of the territory during the day “, says Arpae.

Hail, tornadoes and storms: because they cannot be predicted

As for the rest of the week, according to the Arpae forecasts, Saturday 17 July the weather will remain unstable: variable cloud cover alternating with ample bright spells in the western provinces, while showers and thunderstorms may return in the central-eastern sector. Almost stationary minimum temperatures with values ​​around 19-20 degrees, slightly higher along the coast. Highs slightly increasing with values ​​around 30-33 degrees in the central-western sector, between 26 and 28 degrees in the eastern sector.

Weather improving on Sunday 18 July, residual rains expected only on the reliefs of the Romagna. From Monday 19 July the clear weather returns, the trend speaks of possible local afternoon showers more likely on the hills. With temperatures they will tend to slightly rise.

What is the yellow alert

The yellow alert, explained by Arpae, refers to favorable conditions for the development of storms of strong intensity and rapidity of evolution, which are associated with frequent lightning, gusts of wind and hail, as well as localized flooding due to the intensity of rainfall.
