Over 60 people were sent to trial in Milan as part of the ‘Mensa dei poor’ investigation into the alleged system of bribes and illegal financing in Lombardy. This was decided by the judge for preliminary investigations Natalia Imarisio.
Among the accused also the former Brothers of Italy MEP, Lara Comi, the former Lombard ‘blue’ deputy coordinator and former Milanese city councilor, Pietro Tatarella and the Lombard councilor and party colleague, Fabio Altitonante. The trial will begin on November 18 before the Sixth Criminal Section of the Tribunal.
More than a hundred people have chosen the ordinary rite in the proceedings against them started from four lines of the investigation that sees them accused of an alleged round of bribes, piloted appointments, illicit financing and contracts in our region. The former Forza Italia coordinator in Varese Nino Caianiello, considered the ‘puppeteer’ of the system, is also accused.
