They called themselves the ‘Anundo gang’s’. They had a chat on Whatsapp so called, a group in which they exchanged comments and videos on the raids they did in the area of Viale Marconi what, by now, they considered to be “their” territory.
A fully-fledged, cohesive, well-organized baby gang made up of about thirty young people and, as the Rome Police Headquarters points out, with “the aim of imposing their dominion over their peers in the neighborhood and taking possession of the area through violence, assaults, acts of intimidation and robbery “. Among the victims also a merchant and an Indian, beaten up because he had “dared” to sit on a bench in their territory.
The assault on the girls with the rainbow bag

Five victims are currently ascertained as a result of the investigations carried out in recent months. To be mocked and targeted with bullying by the gang, so much so as to force them to stop frequenting the neighborhood, due to a strong state of anxiety and fear were, first, 3 underage girls. A bag with rainbow colors, worn by one of them and identified by the gang as a symbol of belonging to the LGBT group, attracted the attention of the young attackers. An aggression, this, with a homophobic background.
The other victims, among them also a trader
To end up in the network of the ‘Anundo gang’s’, also the owner of a commercial activity. In several episodes in which young people showed up in packs, terrorizing him and his employee, 2500 euros were stolen and other items on display for sale were damaged.
However, two other attacks were attributable to the gang. The first one against a boy lured to a public park where he was beaten by a dozen members of the group, including the one who had invited him with the excuse of solving a personal matter. The other victim, an Indian citizen beaten up for daring to sit on a bench within their territory.
How the baby gang was routed
The police investigation made it possible to reconstruct all the incidents. The checks on the territory also led the agents to compare the data collected during the services carried out with the information contained in the databases used by the police, thus managing to close the circle around the 14 boys who were reported. to the Judicial Authority.
The photographic identifications of the victims are also decisive, together with the testimonies of other traders in the area who have confirmed the presence of this gang in the neighborhood. For them, the adoption of the DACUR, ie the prohibition of access to urban areas, by the Quaestor will be evaluated. In the meantime, investigations continue to intercept the other young members of the group.
