The note from the foreign ministry: Every move involves health risks. If the virus is positive, local quarantine and isolation regulations must be followed. Better to plan a health insurance that covers the risks associated with the virus
Despite the green pass and the fast pace of vaccinations, the Delta variant continues its gallop in Europe where infections rise and closures return to avoid new pandemic waves. The tourist season (which is so important for many economies) is now in full swing and millions of travelers have already planned their trips. In this scenario, and in the face of many compatriots blocked abroad for questions related to Covid, the Farnesina invites the Italians to be cautious. Any move can involve a health risk explains the Foreign Ministry: in the event that it turns out to be positive for the coronavirus test or contacts of a positive person the rules laid down by the local authorities must be followed. For this reason, the ministry recommends planning every aspect of the trip with the utmost attention, also contemplating the possibility of having to spend an additional period abroad, as well as obtain health insurance which also covers the risks associated with Covid.
The return test
Given the persistence of the health emergency, writes the Farnesina, all those who intend to go abroad, regardless of the destination and the reasons for the trip, dthey must consider that any displacement, in this time, may involve a health risk. In particular, in case it is necessary undergo molecular or antigen tests for entry into Italy or for returning to our country from a foreign destination, please note that travelers should consider the possibility that the test will give a positive result.
The quarantine abroad
In this case – explains the Farnesina in a note – it is not possible to travel with commercial vehicles and are subject to quarantine and containment procedures envisaged by the country where you are. These procedures vary according to local regulations and also affect the so-called contacts with the positive subject, which are equally subject to quarantine and which may return to Italy at the end of the envisaged isolation period. Therefore, the foreign ministry recommends carefully plan every aspect of the trip, also contemplating the possibility of having to spend an additional period abroad, as well as having ahealth insurance that also covers the risks associated with Covid-19.
