Anti-drug operation of the San Marino Gendarmerie which led to the arrest of a soldier of the corps and of an Albanian citizen residing in Riccione. The investigation, coordinated by the Law Commissioner Elisa Beccari, focused on a non-commissioned officer dedicated to the use of drugs, in particular cocaine, and his dealer, a 42-year-old Albanian citizen residing in Riccione. According to what emerged from the investigation, the soldier also used drugs during his service. With the support of the agents of the Municipal Police of the Green Pearl, both the 42-year-old’s home and that of the non-commissioned officer were searched and, in the latter, 32 grams of “snow” and a precision slingbar were found. The two suspects were then arrested and transferred to the San Marino prison of the “Capuchins” at the disposal of the judicial authority.
