Piergiorgio Odifreddi, mathematician, essayist, former professor of mathematical logic at the University of Turin and professor at Cornell University, in the United States, was a friend and pupil of Tullio Regge. The inspirer of quantum gravity, the “star” of popularization, the brilliant theoretical physicist who died in 2014 who would have turned 90 today.
