Works to admire and taste. A perfect combination to satisfy mind and palate inside the Milanese museums that host restaurants and designer venues, even in the open air. As from Voce in Giardino, summer extension of Voce Aimo e Nadia (voceaimoenadia.com), in the suggestive Garden of Alessandro, between the Gallerie d’Italia and the Casa del Manzoni, which can be accessed with a private visit by choosing, for lunch or dinner, one of the 4 new menus inspired and dedicated to the writer’s life and works, created by chefs Negrini and Pisani together with Professor Stella of the National Center for Manzonian Studies. Or at Mudec (the Museum of Cultures) where you can experience a 3-star Michelin menu in the charming restaurant of chef Enrico Bartolini or, a smarter version of his creations, in the bistro also open for breakfasts and aperitifs (enricobartolini.net ).
In the building of the Museo del Novecento, in the Giacomo Arengario restaurant led by chef Silvio del Vecchio, fish dishes and revisited Milanese tradition immersed in the Art Decò rooms or in the incredible glass and iron dehors of the loggia overlooking Piazza del Duomo. In the adjacent Palazzo Reale, there is the refined Giacomo Caffè, ideal for a breakfast with pastries from the Bulleri family’s pastry, a coffee, a light lunch or an aperitif (giacomomilano.com).
In the fashion district, inside Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi and in its prestigious courtyard, the historic Salumaio di Montenapoleone offers its famous gastronomy in a bistro or restaurant formula (ilsalumaiodimontenapoleone.it). Two locations also at the Prada Foundation: the Bar Luce with an Old Milan atmosphere or the spectacular Torre restaurant and bar, on the sixth and seventh floors of the building of the same name, you can enjoy the fish cuisine of chef Lorenzo Lunghi amidst furnishings by famous designers and works by Lucio Fontana, complete with an outdoor terrace with a panoramic view of the city. In Villa Reale, where the Museum of Modern Art is located, the best of the Sicilian gastronomic tradition can be tasted at Lùbar (lubar.it), while at the Caffè Fernanda of the Pinacoteca di Brera you can enjoy gourmet sandwiches, salads and dishes by chef Angela Adamo.
Triennale Terrace – Osteria with View and Coffee in the Garden, the locations of the Palazzo della Triennale for a special aperitif and gourmet dishes by Chef Stefano Cerveni and Salvatore Demuro, immersed in the greenery of Parco Sempione (osteriaconvista.it). Entrance to the exhibition with aperitif included in the price, the formula proposed by the Chiostro Bistrot of the Diocesan Museum (chiostrisanteustorgio.it) which with only 12, from Tuesday to Sunday from 6 to 10 pm, in correspondence with the evening openings of the scheduled exhibitions, after having satisfied your soul, you can enjoy a drink accompanied by snacks and finger food, in the splendid setting of one of the oldest cloisters in the city. Inside the enchanting Rotonda della Besana, where the Children’s Museum is located, the Rotonda Bistro is renovating the rooms but does not stop its activity, moving tables and service under the arcades where, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 to 22, you can enjoy breakfasts with small pastries, lunches with cold dishes such as salads and bowls and aperitifs with a box of snacks.
